India vs Bangladesh 2nd Test: Both India and Bangladesh teams reached Kanpur for the second test of the two-match series. The second test match between the two teams will be played at Green Park Stadium from September 27. Team India has already taken a 1-0 lead in the series by winning the first match. In such a situation, the Indian team would like to win the series by winning the second match. Security arrangements have been tightened in Kanpur in view of the test match. The teams were taken from Chakeri airport to the hotel amid tight security. The players of both the teams were given a grand welcome on their arrival at a five-star hotel.
About 2000 policemen were deployed
The Additional Commissioner of Police said that tight security arrangements have been made inside and around the hotel where they will stay. About 2,000 policemen have been deployed for the security of the teams and VVIPs. Tight security arrangements have also been made at the Green Park Stadium. More than 1,000 policemen have been deployed inside and around the stadium for the match. An officer said on the condition of anonymity that we are not taking any risk regarding security and the teams have also been asked to strictly follow the guidelines. The team members have been asked to give advance information before leaving the hotel.
The officer said that they are coordinating with central agencies, including the Intelligence Bureau and state intelligence agencies to share information to deal with every threat. Meanwhile, it has been decided to keep a strict vigil on social media platforms, warning that anyone trying to disturb the peace will be dealt with strictly. Green Park Stadium and Hotel Land Mark have been divided into ‘sectors’, ‘zones’ and ‘sub-zones’ and their control has been given to Deputy Commissioner of Police and Assistant Deputy Commissioner of Police level officers respectively. Kanpur East Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Shravan Kumar Singh has been made the nodal officer for the entire event.
FIR against 20 people performing havan outside the stadium
Some changes have also been made in the traffic before the test match. ACP Harish Chander said that the Kotwali police has registered an FIR against 20 members including Rakesh Mishra of ‘Akhil Bharatiya Hindu Mahasabha’ for organizing a ‘havan’ by blocking the road in front of Green Park Stadium as a symbol of protest against the atrocities on Hindus in Bangladesh. He said that the FIR has been registered under sections 189 (2) (unlawful assembly), 191 (2) (rioting), 223 (disobedience to order promulgated by public servant) and 285 (obstructing or causing hurt to any person in any public way) of the Indian Penal Code.
