What did Virat Kohli say?
Before the start of IPL, Virat Kohli showed his deep attachment to the Indian Premier League (IPL) and credited his success in this T20 tournament to his fellow players and fans. Kohli is not playing in the five-Test series against England due to personal reasons but he is likely to make a comeback in the IPL.
The former RCB captain told Star Sports that I have a deep love for IPL. In this you play with many new players. You play with a lot of players who you have known for a long time and who are not from your country, whom you don’t meet often. He further said that this is the reason why everyone is fond of IPL because there is a deep connection between the players and the fans in it.
Why is IPL different?
Kohli also shared his views on what makes IPL different from ICC tournaments. Virat said that interacting with the opposition players after every game makes IPL different from ICC tournaments. Virat said that you play all your tournaments which are one team versus another team. ICC tournaments come from time to time, but even in ICC tournaments, you don’t interact with other players or watch the other team. But in the IPL, you are probably meeting every team every second or third day, and that’s the beauty of the IPL. You are playing in a different city, with a different team, in different conditions. Everyone has different targets at different stages of the tournament.
