The second match of the 2-match Test series between India and Bangladesh is to be played at Kanpur’s Green Park Stadium from September 27, for which the preparations of both the teams are almost complete. In Kanpur too, the fans are very excited about this international match after a long time. Meanwhile, due to the dilapidated condition of the C-balcony and C-stall built in this stadium of Kanpur, it is no less than a big danger for the fans sitting here. Although the cracks in this damaged part were repaired before the match started, the sale of tickets was also started from September 25 by reducing the number of spectators sitting in these stands.
UPCA started ticket sales after receiving the report from HBTU
According to the report on ESPN Cricinfo regarding the second match of this Test series, Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association (UPCA) had sent members of Kanpur-based Harcourt Butler Technical University (HBTU) and PWD to the stadium on September 24 to check the C balcony and C-stall, after which they submitted their report and then on that basis the number of spectators in this stand was reduced and ticket sales were started. Venue Director Sanjay Kapoor said in his statement on ESPN that whenever there is an event, the government department conducts a survey at its own level and PWD and HBTU also inspected the stadium three days before the match, in which they found some seats of the C-stand not safe for spectators. Let us tell you that the number of spectators sitting in the C-balcony is around 4800, but after the report of HBTU, permission has been given to sell tickets for only 1750 seats in the India vs Bangladesh Test match. At the same time, the number of spectators in the C-stall will remain the same.
