The ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 is going to be held in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) this year. Earlier this tournament was going to be held in Bangladesh, but it has been shifted. Now it will be played in the stadiums of Dubai and Sharjah. The best teams of the world will participate in this 9th season of the tournament, and all eyes will be on the trophy of this exciting tournament.
Four teams divided into two groups
Group A of the tournament includes six-time champions Australia, 2020 runners-up India, New Zealand, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. All these teams will compete against each other, and the two best teams among them will make it to the semi-finals. Group B includes South Africa, England, 2016 champions West Indies, Bangladesh and Scotland. Two of these teams will also reach the semi-finals.
India-Pakistan match will be played on this day
Sri Lanka and Scotland have made it to this World Cup through the qualifier tournament held in Abu Dhabi earlier this year. Each team will play four group matches during the tournament. The semi-finals will be held on 17 and 18 October, and the final match will be played in Dubai on 20 October. Reserve days have also been fixed for the semi-finals and the final, so that if the match is stopped due to weather or any other reason, it can be completed on the reserve day.
In total, 23 matches will be played in the tournament. If India reaches the semi-finals, it will play in Semi-Final-1. This tournament will be a great opportunity for cricket lovers to watch the match between the best women’s cricket teams in the world. Let us tell you that the match between India and Pakistan will be played on October 3 at 3.30 pm Indian time.
