ACC meet: BCCI messed up expensive, Asia Cup will not be organized in Pakistan!

New Delhi. The Pakistan Cricket Board has not yet been able to speak anything regarding the organization of the Asia Cup. Last year itself, the secretary of the Board of Control for Cricket in India, Jai Shah, had made it clear that the Indian team would not go to Pakistan and participate in the Asia Cup. In the meeting held in Bahrain on Saturday, a decision was to be taken on this tournament to be held this year. Many important things were discussed in the meeting and some special things came to the fore.

According to the information received by News18, on the decision taken in the meeting, the source said, “No decision has been taken regarding the event of Asia or its shift. It has been postponed till the next meeting. When the next meeting is held, a final decision will be taken on this. The meeting is expected to be held in March this year.

According to PTI, Asia Cup will not be organized in Pakistan. It is being told that the next meeting which is to be held in March itself will decide on the new venue. Anyway, BCCI’s decision of not going to Pakistan and playing is not going to change. In such a situation, Pakistan will have to give up its insistence on organizing the Asia Cup. It is being told that the tournament can be conducted in UAE. The hosting of the Asia Cup will remain with Pakistan but it will be done at some other place. In the year 2021, due to Corona, the T20 World Cup hosted by India was approved by the ICC to be held in the UAE.

In this meeting, no decision was taken regarding the venue of the Asia Cup, but an important agreement was reached on the annual budget to be given to Afghanistan cricket. It was agreed to increase the budget of the board by 6 percent. It has been increased from 9 percent to 15 percent. All the officials participating in the meeting talked about paying more attention to the development of women’s cricket in Afghanistan.
