After 18 months, the entry of the triple century opener! Series against New Zealand at stake

New Delhi. The Indian cricket team is about to enter the decisive match of the three-match T20 series against New Zealand. The first match was won by New Zealand, while in the second match, India won after working hard. Till now the series has been close and the team winning the last match will capture the trophy. Captain Hardik Pandya and coach Rahul Dravid would definitely like to make changes in the playing XI for this match.

On Wednesday, February 1, the Indian team will play against New Zealand in the T20 series decider in Ahmedabad. In this match, all eyes will be on the playing XI of coach Dravid and captain Hardik. Ishaan Kishan and Shubman Gill, who have flopped in two consecutive matches of the series, can be dropped. Prithvi Shaw, who returned to Team India after a long time, is believed to get a chance.

Return of triple century opener

Team India could not get a good opening in the first two matches. The pairing of Shubman and Ishaan has failed. Prithvi Shaw may get a chance in the playing XI. In July 2021, he played his first and last T20 match. After 18 months, he may get a chance to make a comeback.

In domestic matches, this opener has forced the game selectors to give him a place in the team for continuous explosive innings. In the recent Ranji Trophy season, Prithvi played an unmatched inning of 379 runs against Assam. Apart from this, he scored a double century in BCCI’s T20 League Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.
