Shakibul Hasan’s five-wicket haul and then all-rounder Mehidy Hasan Miraj’s (38 not out) thrashed India by one wicket in the first ODI here on Sunday to take a 1-0 lead in the three-match cricket series. Bangladesh lost their ninth wicket in the 40th over in the form of Hasan Mahmood (0) for 136 runs but the Indian team could not take the last wicket in the next six overs. In this, the 51-run partnership for the last wicket between Mehdi Hasan (39 balls, four fours, two sixes) and Mustafizur Rahman (10 not out) played an important role.
