After the victory, Team India captain Rohit Sharma said that it was not easy to bat on this pitch but his team was successful due to the quick wickets.

Rohit said after the match, ‘There is a lot to learn from such matches. We knew it would help the bowlers and the pitch remained damp throughout the match. It was getting difficult to shoot due to lack of sunshine and both the teams were in the match but we took early wickets which was the turning point of the match. Even the target of 107 runs was not easy on this pitch. We lost two wickets but Suryakumar and Rahul’s partnership was important.

Arshdeep Singh took 3 wickets
For India, young pacer Arshdeep Singh took the maximum 3 wickets while Deepak Chahar and Harshal Patel took 2-2 wickets in their account. Arshdeep was adjudged man of the match for his brilliant bowling. 4 South African batsmen could not even open the account. The South African captain blamed the defeat on the batsmen.

Temba Bavuma broke the batsmen’s head for the defeat
According to Bavuma, ‘As a unit we failed to bat. We couldn’t bat according to the conditions while their batsmen did it. Our bowlers tried but the batsmen could not even score runs. The second T20 match of the three-match series will be played in Guwahati on October 2.
