New Delhi. Indian fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah’s participation in the 2022 T20 World Cup is highly doubtful due to a back problem. The BCCI has just confirmed that the right-arm pacer will not be a part of the remaining two T20Is against South Africa due to injury. But if reports are to be believed, Bumrah is suffering from a serious back pain problem (stress fracture) and he will not be able to participate in the ICC T20 World Cup. PTI has quoted a BCCI official as saying that Bumrah will not be able to play in the T20 World Cup and may have to be out of the field for six months.

This is a big setback for Team India. Bumrah is the second senior Indian player after Ravindra Jadeja to miss the World Cup. Jadeja is recovering from knee surgery. The Indian team is not looking very good at the moment and in such a situation, with Bumrah’s injury, the problems of captain Rohit Sharma and coach Rahul Dravid will increase. Meanwhile, amidst the ongoing news about Bumrah for the T20 World Cup, an old tweet of his is going viral on social media.

The post is goal setting as well as an inspiration to many. In August 2017, he wrote on Twitter, ‘Comeback is always bigger than failure.’ Bumrah tweeted this inspirational quote after India won the series by defeating Sri Lanka in the third ODI. 2 more matches were yet to be played with Sri Lanka, but India had already won the series.
