New Delhi. Commonwealth Games (Commonwealth Games 2022) Indian women’s cricket team head coach Ramesh Powar says he would like to meet badminton superstar PV Sindhu and Tokyo Olympic gold medalist Neeraj Chopra in Birmingham if given a chance. Women’s cricket is debuting at the Commonwealth Games. This will be the first experience for the Indian women’s cricket team in multiple events.
Ramesh Powar said in the press conference held before the team’s departure on Saturday, “If we get a chance, we all PV Sindhu. (PV Sindhu) and Neeraj Chopra (Neeraj Chopra) Would like to meet him because both of them have set such high standards. Well, it is commendable.
He said, “We as a group would like to share some notes with these top level players.” He is also thrilled to be a part of multiple events. He said, “This is the first time we are participating in such a big tournament. This is a big platform for our girls and they have a great chance to show their talent, their game. We can tell the world that women’s cricket can take part in a variety of competitions.
Ramesh Powar said, “All of us and I have seen the Olympic and Commonwealth Games games as cricketers. We have seen the tricolor of our country flying high. This is an opportunity for all of us to do well and make the country feel proud.” India are placed in Group A along with arch-rivals Pakistan, Australia and Barbados. The Indian team will start its campaign against Australia on July 29.

Indian women’s cricket team captain Harmanpreet Kaur is very excited about the Commonwealth Games. He told the Birmingham departure, “This tournament is very important for us.
