Country big or IPL? Ravi Shastri furious at BCCI after seeing Team India’s defeat in WTC final
During the conversation on Star Sports, Shastri said, ‘You should decide your priority, what is the priority, IPL or Indian cricket? This has to be decided. If franchisees give priority to cricket, then forget big tournaments like WTC.
He said, ‘If BCCI considers competitions like WTC important then it should come forward as a boss. It should be protected. Apart from this, BCCI should bring a rule for IPL that if they keep any player out in the interest of Team India, then they will have full rights.
Please tell that this is not the first time that Ravi Shastri has raised this issue. Even before this, he had said about IPL and workload management that it is a very important thing and attention should be paid to it.
India had 4 wickets for 71 runs in the first innings
In the ongoing WTC final against Australia, the Indian team lost the top 4 wickets in their first innings for just 71 runs. The wicket included Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli and Cheteshwar Pujara. This is the reason why Ravi Shastri has once again asked sharp questions to BCCI regarding IPL and workload.
