Uruguayan Football Team: Two-time World Cup champion Uruguay has once again included veteran players Luis Suarez and Edinson Cavani in their FIFA WC Squad. Both the players are 35+ and have played more than 130 matches for their country.
Along with this pair, three more veteran players Diego Godin, Martin Caceres and Fernando Muslera have also been given a place in the team. There is also a lot of young players in the team. Barcelona centre-back Ronald Araújo, Liverpool striker Darwin Nunez and Real Madrid midfielder Federico Valverde are also part of the squad.
Uruguay is the winner of the first World Cup held in the year 1930. This team last won the World Cup in 1950. In the year 2010, this team came a little closer to the trophy but it had to face defeat in the semi-final against the Netherlands.
Uruguay is in Group-H
Uruguay’s team has been placed in Group-H in the FIFA World Cup 2022. Here with him there are teams like South Korea, Portugal and Ghana. That is, the competition is not easy. Uruguay will start their World Cup campaign on 24 November with a match against South Korea. After this, this team will take the field against Portugal on 29 November and Ghana on 2 December.
