Former Pakistan captain supported Gautam Gambhir for calling Babar Azam ‘selfish’

Gautam Gambhir called Pakistan captain Babar Azam selfish
Former Pakistan captain Wasim Akram has supported him in this matter.

New Delhi. Pakistan cricket team is on target of everyone due to its poor performance in the ICC Team World Cup. After starting the tournament with a loss against India, the team also lost against Zimbabwe. After not achieving the target of 130 runs, he is being criticized everywhere. Former Indian opener Gautam Gambhir had called captain Babar Azam selfish, on which there is a constant debate.

During the match played against the Netherlands in the T20 World Cup on Sunday, Gambhir had said that the Pakistan captain is selfish about his team’s place. He said that Fakhar Zaman and Mohammad Rizwan should be allowed to open and captain Babar should come at number three. This will strengthen the team’s batting order but he is not doing so because he has to open himself.

Akram said, it is his own opinion, Gautam Gambhir himself has been a successful IPL (Indian Premier League) captain. He has given the title to Kolkata Knight Riders twice. He has been one of the top players of his time. I don’t think there is anything wrong with it in any way. I believe that everyone has the right to express his opinion.

Lost to South Africa, will India become champion?

It is worth noting that Akram plays the responsibility of coach of Karachi Kings, the franchise team of Pakistan Super League. He had revealed a few days ago that when he had advised Babar Azam to leave the opening during the league, he had refused it. Akram had told that he wanted Sarjeel Khan and Martin Guptis to open his team but Babar did not agree.
