Glenn Phillips Century: 3 wickets fell for 15 runs, then Glenn Phillips stunned Sri Lankan bowlers, scored a century

Sydney: New Zealand’s stormy batsman Glenn Phillip has scored a century while beating Sri Lankan bowlers fiercely in a T20 World Cup 2022 match. New Zealand had a poor start at the Sydney Cricket Stadium with 3 wickets falling for just 15 runs, but Glenn Phillips then took the field by storm with a smattering of fours and sixes. He scored a century of 104 runs in 64 balls hitting 10 fours and 4 sixes. On its own, New Zealand could reach 167 runs for 7 wickets.

Second Century of T20 World Cup 2022
He is the second batsman to score a century in the T20 World Cup 2022, while also the second batsman from New Zealand overall. Riley Rosso of South Africa played an innings of 109 runs against Bangladesh in 56 balls with 7 fours and 8 sixes. Now Philip has scored a century. Earlier in the World Cup for New Zealand, former captain Brendon McCullum had scored 123 runs against Bangladesh in 2012. This is still the best score by any batsman for New Zealand.

It rained heavily after a bad start
Philip started on the field after the fall of the initial wicket, but where he was going to stop after hitting Rajita for the first four in the sixth over. When his catch was dropped by Pathum Nisanka in the 7th over, Philip became even more destructive. He completed the half-century in 39 balls, hitting Karun Ratne for a four.
