‘He kills the bowler..’ Pakistani pacer who spewed venom against Virat was afraid of this Indian batsman, not Kohli-Dhoni

New Delhi. Virat Kohli loves batting against Pakistan. When he comes against this team, then the records are left behind. Kohli has scored two centuries in ODIs against Pakistan. Every time Kohli comes out against Pakistan in the World Cup, a special inning comes out of his bat. Who would have forgotten the T20 World Cup held in Australia last year. When Kohli won India by playing an unbeaten 82 in 53 balls. One such inning was also played by Kohli against Pakistan in the 2015 ODI World Cup. Then he hit a century and India beat Pakistan by 76 in the group stage.

Sohail Khan took 5 wickets in that 2015 World Cup match between India and Pakistan. Kohli’s wicket was also included in this. However, it was not difficult for this bowler to dismiss Kohli or the then Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni, but it was most difficult for him to get the wicket of Rohit Sharma.

Rohit would have had plenty of time to play shots: Sohail
Sohail Khan admitted on Nadir Ali’s YouTube channel that he was scared of bowling against Rohit in the 2015 World Cup, due to Rohit’s ability to play the ball late and being a technically sound batsman. He recalled that if Rohit had saved his wicket with the new ball, he could have hit a double century as well. However, Rohit was dismissed in the 8th over after scoring 15 runs in 20 balls. He was dismissed by Sohail Khan only.

‘I was scared of Rohit’
Sohail said, “My plan was this, because I bowl with the new ball and the first batsman to come to the crease was Rohit Sharma, if I can get him out, then it can be done. He did not steal life from the bowlers, but used to take them out. Because Rohit has a lot of time to play the shot. Even if you bowl at 150 kmph, he will still hit you for sixes in the same fashion as he does at 120 kmph. He was the only player I was with then. I knew that if he had survived, he would have scored 200 runs, not a century.
