Bhubaneswar: Germany beat Belgium 2-1 in the sudden death penalty shoot-out to win the Hockey World Cup final at the Kalinga Stadium in Disha. The score was tied 3-3 after regulation time between Germany and Belgium. After this, both the teams were tied 3-3 in the penalty shootout as well, but luck was in favor of Germany in the sudden death shootout and the team won 2-1 to win the title for the third time.
