New Delhi. The cricket teams of India and Australia have reached Mohali for the opening match of the T20 series to be played on 20 September. PCA reportedly has an outstanding of Rs 5 crore for the last 8 years.

According to a report in The Indian Express, the SSP (Traffic/Security) had taken up the issue with the PCA officials on Saturday. Also, the Punjab Cricket Association has been asked to clear the dues of the previous matches held in Mohali, for which security arrangements were made by the Chandigarh Police.

PCA secretary Dilsher Khanna did not comment on the issue citing the matter being sub-judice. He said, “Chandigarh Police is providing full cooperation and security to the cricket teams. The matter related to pending security bills is under consideration. Chandigarh Police started providing escorts and security as soon as the cricket teams entered the city. The report further claimed that the Australian team that landed in the city on Friday afternoon was taken to their hotel along with some personnel provided by the Chandigarh Police.
