Pakistan has become the first team to reach the final of T20 World Cup 2022. The Green team defeated New Zealand by seven wickets in Sydney on November 9 and booked the ticket for the final. In this match, New Zealand, batting first, won the toss and scored 152 runs in front of Pakistan. While chasing the target, Pakistan easily got it at the loss of seven wickets with five balls to spare.

Opening the innings for the team, wicket-keeper opener Mohammad Rizwan scored the highest fifty of 57 runs in 43 balls at a strike rate of 132.56. Apart from this, Captain Babar Azam contributed 53 runs in 42 balls at a strike rate of 126.19. Shan Masood, who came to bat at the fourth order for the Green team, took the winning run.
