India vs New Zealand: The three-match ODI series between India and New Zealand (IND vs NZ) has started from today. The first match is being played at Eden Park in Auckland. Here Team India, batting first, scored a mammoth score of 306 runs losing 7 wickets thanks to the half-centuries of all the three top-order batsmen.
New Zealand captain Kane Williamson won the toss and invited the Indian team to bat first. Team India started well and for the first wicket, there was a 124-run partnership between captain Shikhar Dhawan and Shubman Gill in 23.1 overs. Here Shubman Gill returned to the pavilion after scoring 50 runs off 65 balls. In the very next over, Shikhar Dhawan also kept walking. He played an inning of 72 runs off 77 balls.
From here Shreyas Iyer handled one end. Wickets kept falling at short intervals from the other end. Rishabh Pant was bowled by Lockie Ferguson after scoring 15 runs off 23 balls. Suryakumar Yadav also became the victim of Ferguson by scoring just 4 runs. After this Sanju Samson gave good support to Shreyas Iyer. There was a 94-run partnership between the two. Here Sanju Samson was dismissed by Adam Milne after scoring 36 runs off 38 balls.
Shreyas Iyer and Washington Sundar took Team India to 300. Washington Sundar played a blistering unbeaten inning of 37 runs off 16 balls. At the same time, Shreyas Iyer got out after scoring 80 runs in 77 balls. For New Zealand, Lockie Ferguson and Tim Southee took 3-3 and Adam Milne took one wicket.
