New Delhi. The ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2023 is going to start next Friday (February 10) in Cape Town. In this tournament, 10 teams will compete for the title from 10 to 26 February. This is the eighth season of the Women’s T20 World Cup. The first season of this tournament was played in 2009 in England. The first three tournaments had eight participants, but with the 2014 season the number was increased to 10. The ICC announced in July 2022 that Bangladesh would host the 2024 tournament and England would host the 2026 tournament. The number of teams participating in the 2026 tournament will also be increased to 12.

The Indian women’s cricket team was the runner up of the Women’s T20 World Cup last time i.e. in 2020.
