One such big name is of Rahul Sharma. While bowling well in domestic cricket and IPL, he managed to reach Team India. The situation was such that people started considering him as the next Anil Kumble of the country. But he was dropped from the team after just six matches.

Rahul came into limelight because of IPL:

Rahul first came into the limelight because of IPL. In the year 2011, he made everyone crazy with his excellent bowling. He played 14 matches for his team this year. Meanwhile, he took 16 wickets while spending runs at an economy of 5.46. Seeing this excellent bowling of Rahul, he soon got a chance to debut in Team India. He first played ODI in 2011 against West Indies. After this, he made his debut in T20 International cricket against Australia in the year 2012.

Police caught Sharma at rave party:

In the year 2012, Sharma was participating for Pune Warriors India. During this, he was caught in a rave party with African player Wayne Parnell in Juhu, Mumbai. If reports are to be believed, during the raid, the police recovered drugs from both the players. At first he said that he does not do drugs, but when his report came, he was found positive. Since then, Sharma’s performance gradually went down. Eventually he was dropped from Team India as well.

Rahul Sharma’s International Cricket Career:

Rahul Sharma played a total of six international matches for the Indian team. It included four ODIs and two T20 Internationals. Sharma got six successes in four ODI innings at an average of 29.5. At the same time, in two innings of T20 match, he managed to take three wickets at an average of 18.67.

IPL career of Rahul Sharma:

While talking about Rahul Sharma’s IPL career, he played a total of 44 matches in this prestigious league of the country. Meanwhile, he got 40 successes in 44 innings at an average of 27.15. His best bowling performance in IPL was three wickets for 13 runs.
