Lucknow. Lucknow Super Giants on Tuesday revealed their list of retained players ahead of the Indian Premier League 2023 auction. The franchise has retained a total of 15 players, which include 11 Indians and four foreign players. Along with this, Lucknow has released a total of seven players, in which three are Indian and four are foreign players.
The auction for the IPL will take place on December 23 in Kochi and all the ten franchises were given a November 15 deadline to submit the list of players they have decided to keep and release. Lucknow Super Giants had reached the playoffs of IPL 2022, but they suffered a loss against Royal Challengers Bangalore in Qualifier 2 and their campaign this season ended with this defeat.

The franchise included its captain KL Rahul, veteran South African batsman Quinton de Kock, Australia’s Marcus Stoinis, West Indies’ Kayleigh Meyer, England fast bowler Mark Wood, Indian all-rounder Krunal Pandya, T20 batsmen Deepak Hooda, Mayank Yadav and spin bowler Ravi Bishnoi. 15 players are retained in the team.
On the other hand, the franchise has released seven players including West Indies all-rounder Jason Holder, left-handed batsman Evin Lewis, Australia bowler Andrew Tye, Sri Lanka’s Dushmantha Chamira, India batsman Manish Pandey, spin bowler Shahbaz Nadeem.

Overseas: Quinton Dickock, Marcus Stoinis, Kyle Mayer, Mark Wood.
Released – Indian: Ankit Rajput, Manish Pandey, Shahbaz Nadeem.
Foreign: Andrew Tye, Dushmantha Chamira, Evin Lewis, Jason Holder.
