Many players of Indian team will take break before IPL
India’s ‘festival’ is starting from March 21
New Delhi. India players who are part of the ODI series against Australia will get a brief break of three to four days before joining their teams’ camps in the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League (IPL), starting March 31. Defending champions Gujarat Titans and Chennai Super Kings will face each other in the season opener in Ahmedabad. It can be understood that keeping the World Cup in mind, the workload management of the players is being closely monitored, due to which giving them rest is paramount.
BCCI told PTI on the condition of anonymity, “Some players can directly join the IPL teams but they will have the option of taking a break of three-four days so that they can go back home before joining their IPL teams.” But can get some rest.” Even if the players join the training camp directly, it is not possible that they will train for at least the next 72 hours. According to board sources, Shreyas Iyer will undergo back surgery and will not be a part of IPL.

The decision has been taken keeping in mind the best interest of the player as the surgery now may give him a chance to make a comeback before the World Cup in October. However, at this time the chances of him making a place in the World Cup team are very less. Jasprit Bumrah and the famous Krishna are two players who have already undergone back surgeries.
