Pakistan’s heroes were again embarrassed, Afghanistan won the series by winning the second T20

Sharjah: Afghanistan has created history on the cricket field. The team has also defeated Pakistan in the second T20 match. Along with this, he also achieved an unbeatable 2-0 lead in the three-match T20 series. Before this series, Afghanistan had not won any international match against Pakistan. The heroes of Pakistan Super League i.e. PSL failed once again. Batting first, Shadab Khan’s team could score only 130 runs. Afghanistan won the match by 7 wickets in the last over at Sharjah ground.

Deadly bowling by Farooqui

Pakistan won the toss and decided to bat first but Fazalhaq Farooqui had other plans. He dismissed Saim Ayyub on the second ball of the match and Abdullah Shafiq on the third ball. Mohammad Haris tried to score fast runs but could only score 15 runs off 9 balls. After falling three wickets for 20 runs, Imad Wasim and Tayyab Tahir started slow batting.

Tahir was dismissed for 13 runs off 23 balls and his innings had no boundaries. The bat of Azam Khan (1) also remained calm. After falling 5 wickets for 63 runs, Shadab Khan supported Imad Wasim. Both added an unbeaten 67 runs for the last wicket. Pakistan could only manage 130 runs for 6 wickets. Imad remained unbeaten on 64 off 57 balls and Shadab scored 32 off 25 balls. Farooqui took 2 wickets for 19 runs in 4 overs.

Afghanistan won with one ball to spare

Rahmanullah Gurbaz started fast on a difficult pitch for batting but quickly the Pakistani bowlers found their rhythm. Usman Ghani (7) became the victim of Zaman Khan in the fourth over. Gurbaj was dismissed for 44 off 49 balls and Ibrahim Zadran for 38 off 40 balls. In the last two overs, the team needed 22 runs to win. Mohammad Nabi and Najibullah Zadran hit 17 runs in Naseem Shah’s 19th over.

Zaman Khan bowled well in the last over but Najibullah got a four off the edge of the 5th ball. With this, Afghanistan clinched the match and the series. Najibullah remained unbeaten on 23 off 12 balls while Nabi scored 14 off 9 balls.
