Patna Pirates vs Jaipur Pink Panthers: Patna Pirates won against Jaipur Pink Panthers by a margin of 37-30 in the 72nd match of the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL). This is the sixth victory of this season for Patna, while Jaipur has to face the fifth defeat. Arjun Deshwal, putting up the eighth Super-10 of the season, struggled alone for Jaipur, but he could not get help from the other end.
Patna took a seven point lead in the first half
In the first 10 minutes of the game, the defense of both the teams did not work and the match was very slow. In the first 10 minutes, Patna had taken the lead 8-7. Only two players from Jaipur were left in the 12th minute, but they super tackled Sachin Tanwar and the score was leveled at 9-9. Two minutes later, Jaipur saved itself from being all out again by making another super tackle. In the 16th minute, Patna finally got Jaipur all out and took a 15-12 lead in the match.
By half time, Patna had taken a 20-13 lead. In defense, both the teams had almost equal points, but in raiding, Patna got five points more. For Patna, Sachin and Rohit Gulia took six raid points each. Arjun Deshwal took seven raid points for Jaipur, while Ankush alone took four tackle points out of the team’s five.
Patna’s game was excellent in the second half as well.
In the eighth minute of the second half, Jaipur all-out Patna took a 23-21 lead. With nine minutes left in the match, both the teams were tied at 25-25. Four minutes later, Patna all-out Jaipur and took a good 32-25 lead in the match. In the last five minutes, Patna’s game was better than Jaipur and their defenders scored consecutive points. Jaipur’s team could not reduce this gap till the end of the match and they had to face defeat.
