Retirement of world champion cricketer before Australia series, will now be seen in police uniform

New Delhi: Medium pacer Joginder Sharma, who created history by leading the Indian team to victory in the title match of the 2007 T20 World Cup, has announced his retirement from all forms of cricket. In the tournament hosted by South Africa for the first time, this bowler bowled the last over in the final against Pakistan and made India the world champion by dismissing the then match-winner Misbah-ul-Haq.

There were no strong players like Sachin Tendulkar in the T20 World Cup played for the first time under the captaincy of MS Dhoni. Despite this, not only did India become the world champion, but the names of some players who were not known to the world came to the fore for the first time. The current captain Rohit Sharma and Joginder Sharma were the most special in that list. While Rohit Sharma later became the captain of India, Joginder Sharma got his name recorded in history because of the way he bowled the last over showing guts.
