Rishabh Pant enjoying the warm sunshine, how is the wicketkeeper’s injury now, update on recovery

New Delhi: India’s wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant was badly injured in a horrific car accident on 30 December. Now he has given an update on his Instagram account regarding his recovery. Mumbai’s Rishabh Pant sitting outside on the terrace of Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Andheri West and enjoying the fresh air outside, which is one of the basic things required for a healthy body. Rishabh Pant wrote in the caption with the photo on Insta Story that he did not know that he would enjoy so much sitting outside and breathing fresh air.

Rishabh Pant’s car on his way to his hometown Roorkee for New Year met with an accident on the National Highway. After narrowly surviving the horrific accident, he was treated at Max Hospital in Dehradun. The BCCI shifted him from Dehradun to Mumbai’s Kokilaben Hospital.

Earlier on January 16, Rishabh Pant posted pictures of meeting his helpers on his social media accounts. Expressed gratitude to those who supported in difficult circumstances. Also said that he is ready for the challenges ahead in this journey. He had said, ‘I am humbled and grateful for all the support and wishes. I am happy to inform you that my surgery was successful. The road to recovery has begun and I am ready for the challenges ahead. Thank you for the incredible support from BCCI Secretary Jay Shah and Government officials.

He also thanked Rajat Kumar and Nishu Kumar for saving his life. Pant made his international debut in February 2017. He was part of the Indian Test team that recorded a 2–0 series win over Bangladesh in December 2022 in Dhaka. He scored 93 in the first innings of the second Test at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium.
