SA vs BAN T20 World Cup: Bangladeshi Tigers thrashed, South African Lions beat Riley Rosso by 104 runs on the back of a century

Sydney: South Africa kept their hopes of reaching the semi-finals alive by registering a blistering 104-run victory against Bangladesh in a crucial match in the T20 World Cup 2022. Batting first, South Africa scored a massive 205 runs on the back of Riley Rosso’s second consecutive century in T20 and after that they piled up the Bangladeshi team for 101 runs. Riley Rosso, the hero of his victory, scored a century, after that Enrique Nortje took 4 wickets, while Tabrez Shamsi took 3 wickets.

Thrill of South Africa’s innings
Earlier, South Africa scored 205 for 5 against Bangladesh with Riley Rosso’s century and his big century partnership with Quinton de Kock. Rosso’s 109 runs in 56 balls with seven fours and eight sixes, apart from putting on a 163-run partnership for the second wicket with De Kock (63 runs in 38 balls, seven fours, three sixes). Rain also disturbed the course of the match but there was no cut in the number of overs. Rosso and de Kock also lashed out at fours and sixes during their partnership in the meantime. Together they hit 14 fours and 11 sixes.

Rosso rained heavily after a bad start
South Africa did not start well. Captain Temba Bavuma, struggling with poor form, after scoring just two runs, was caught by wicketkeeper Nurul Hasan in the very first over of Taskin Ahmed (1 for 46).
