Shubman Gill has become the 7th male batsman for India to score a century in T20 Internationals. Before him Suresh Raina, Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul, Virat Kohli, Deepak Hooda and Suryakumar Yadav have scored T20 centuries for India. Gill remained unbeaten on 126 off 63 balls. He hit 12 fours and 7 sixes. This is the biggest innings by any Indian batsman in T20 International. Virat Kohli scored 122 runs against Afghanistan.
Did amazing work in ODI as well
Shubman Gill has rocked in ODI cricket as well. In the ODI series against New Zealand itself, Gill’s bat scored a double century. Before that he had also scored a century against Sri Lanka. He is also the fastest batsman to score 1000 runs for India in ODIs. But he could not do anything special in the first 5 T20 International matches of his career. But he made up for it in a single match.
