Meanwhile, Pakistan’s speedstar Shaheen Afridi has made a big disclosure about fitness. He told how he was able to recover from his injury in England. After returning to the World Cup, he also discussed about his current fitness.

In the month of July, Afridi suffered a knee injury in the second Test against Sri Lanka. The injury kept the 22-year-old away from cricket for almost three months. Due to this injury, Shaheen Afridi missed important tournaments like the Asia Cup and also the home series against England. Shaheen’s return in the World Cup was a good news for Pakistan. However, it was not easy for Afridi to return to the field after a long gap. The 22-year-old did not get a single success in the first two matches of the World Cup.

May Allah not let anyone go through such injury – Shaheen Afridi

The Pakistan speedstar said in his statement, ‘It was not easy at all to come back from this injury after three months. Allah does not make anyone go through such an injury, but those who have gone through such an injury know how difficult it is. I am trying to give my best I think my pace is coming as before. My average speed is approaching 135-140 km/h. Match fitness is a different matter. But after three months, suddenly it is difficult to make the same effort as before.

T20 World Cup was the target of Shaheen Afridi

Afridi said, ‘I was alone in England and I struggled a lot in the initial months. I have never been away from cricket action for so long due to injury. Surely your friends and teammates support. My target was to play T20 World Cup and thank God I am able to do that.

Except Virat Kohli, Gautam Gambhir raised questions on this batsman of the team .. said – what is his…

He further said, ‘The first two months I was not able to walk properly because the swelling was increasing. I could only go to the gym.
