The women’s team has made preparations to bring the close match to the end… this is how it will win in T20 against England

Highlights

The Indian team could not achieve Australia’s target of 162 runs in the final of the Commonwealth Games.
The Indian team will play the first T20 match against England at Chester Lee Street on Saturday.

Chester Lee Street: Leading to a close match has always been a matter of concern for the Indian women’s cricket team and skipper Harmanpreet Kaur believes the solution to this problem is to find the right balance in the batting order. Chasing Australia’s target of 162 runs in the final of the Birmingham Commonwealth Games, India were once in a very strong position at 118 for two but after that the batting order collapsed and the entire team was bowled out for 152 runs in 19.3 overs.

On the eve of the first T20 match against England to be held here on Saturday, Harmanpreet said, “We are working on it. I know these things have been bothering us for a long time. We need to show some patience and after a while we will start getting results too.

He said, “So this time we have included two more batsmen in the team, Dylan Hemlata and KP Navgire, who can bring the match to an end for us. He has done really well in domestic cricket and scored a lot of runs.

We will take a decision according to the circumstances of the match: Captain Harmanpreet
The Indian captain believes that the Indian team needs to be flexible in its approach to batting. “We need to be a little flexible when it comes to batting because sometimes you have to see who is bowling and who is better against him and who can score runs for us. We will be very flexible in terms of batting. We will take a decision according to the circumstances of the match.

Team India defeated England during the Commonwealth Games
The right-handed batsman sees England’s limited overs tour as a fresh start. India had defeated England in their journey to the final in Birmingham in their attempt to win the silver medal. Harmanpreet said, “We have done really well in the Commonwealth Games but now it is a new beginning for us. England have always done well against us. It will be very challenging for us. (But) Commonwealth Games has given us a lot of confidence.

When and where will India England’s T20 and ODI matches be held?

India are scheduled to play three T20 Internationals and as many One Day Internationals in England on a two-week limited-overs tour.

T20 matches will be held at Hove (10 September), Derby (13 September) and Bristol (15 September) while ODIs will be held at Hove (18 September), Canterbury (21 September) and Lord’s (24 September).

If a player is not comfortable, he should take a break from the game.

England will go without Nate Sciver, who has pulled out of the series to “focus on his mental health”. Harmanpreet, however, said that England still have enough capable players to challenge India. He said, “She (Skiver) is not playing but still she has a very good team and I think if we have to beat her then we have to play very good cricket. The last 10 days gave us enough time to prepare ourselves. We seem to be in good shape and now is the time to get on the field and execute our plan.

When asked about the mental fatigue of players due to playing cricket continuously, Harmanpreet feels that if a cricketer is not comfortable then it is better for him to take a break from the game.
