Travis Head returns to Australia’s ODI team, Cummins will take charge for the first time

New Delhi. Pat Cummins and his fellow fast bowlers have not been rested despite the busy schedule ahead in view of the preparations for the World Cup 2023. Australia have named Cummins, Josh Hazlewood and Mitchell Starc in the squad for the three ODIs against England and two Tests against the West Indies after their exit from the group stage of the T20 World Cup.
These three fast bowlers were also part of the team in the matches played for the preparations for the T20 World Cup and before that.

Cummins will lead Australia in both ODIs and Tests. Australia will play ODIs against England on November 17, 19 and 22 in Adelaide, Sydney and Melbourne respectively. After this, he will play Test matches against West Indies in Perth from 30 November to 4 December and then in Adelaide from 8 to 12 December. The Test team will then host South Africa for a three-match series, the first of which will be played in Brisbane from December 17.

Australia’s team has to tour India in February next year where the 50-over World Cup will be held in October. Travis Head has been included in the ODI squad after Aaron Finch’s retirement from ODIs.
