New Delhi. Team India’s star Virat Kohli has returned to form and has made a splash in the ongoing ICC T20 World Cup 2022. The flamboyant batsman is currently the highest run-scorer in the tournament, scoring 246 runs in just five matches. Virat Kohli made a spectacular comeback this year after an unusually long bad patch. There is a Pakistani cricketer. Who was compared with Kohli during his early years. But he was dropped from the team after erratic performances since 2019.

Ahmed Shehzad had shown brilliantly when he came to international cricket in 2009. He made his senior team debut a year after his appearance for Pakistan in the Under-19 World Cup. The 30-year-old Shahzad has played 13 Tests, 81 ODIs and 59 T20 matches for Pakistan so far. He played the last T20 match three years ago. Shahzad has not appeared in the Pakistan team in Tests or ODIs since 2017. During a discussion on Cricket Pakistan, Ahmed Shehzad spoke at length about how comparisons with Kohli were unfair to him. Along with this, he further revealed what worked in favor of the Indian batsman.

Shehzad said, “This thing goes against the big. when you compare. In just two matches, you don’t know where you go from where. There can be no comparison. There are two different persons. Living two different lives.” Shehzad further said that Kohli was fortunate that MS Dhoni took him under his wing and supported the youngster during his stint in the national team.

He further said, “His life is going differently. Dhoni was with him, my life was in different situations. I always say, there are two things that make you play cricket. There is one when everyone is supporting you, there is one when everyone is trying to take you out.”

Shahzad is sweating profusely in the domestic circuit, but his return to the national team is difficult. Kohli, on the other hand, has been the mainstay of the ‘Men in Blue’ over the years. He has established himself as one of the most important members of the team.
