Warner has struggled for runs in Tests in recent times
The dashing opener, however, has struggled to score runs in the longer format in recent times and his place in the Test team is not assured. Warner said, ‘You have to score runs to stay in the team. Let me say from the beginning that (2024) T20 World Cup will probably be my last match in international cricket. If I score runs here and continue to play in Australia as well, I can definitely say that I will not play in the series against West Indies. If I score runs in the World Test Championship final and the Ashes and get selected in the team for the Pakistan series, I would definitely like to end my career there.

Australia has to play a five-Test series against England after the World Test Championship final. Australia will play a three-Test series against Pakistan later this year, the last match of which will be played in Sydney from January 3. Warner started his international cricket career without playing a first class match. He has scored a triple century in Test cricket. Warner is one of Australia’s leading openers in all three formats of cricket.
