New Delhi. Sunday will be a blockbuster in Group 2 of the T20 World Cup. Because four out of 6 teams in the group will be eyeing a place in the semi-finals of the tournament. While South Africa will face Netherlands in the first match, Pakistan will face Bangladesh in the second match. Both these matches will be held in Adelaide. India will face Zimbabwe in the third match. If India and South Africa win their respective matches, then they will go straight to the semi-finals. However, if one of the two teams either loses their match or has to lose points due to rain, then Pakistan and Bangladesh will have a chance to reach the last-4.

Meanwhile, Pakistan batsman Shan Masood answered questions related to the preparation of the match against Bangladesh and the team’s performance so far in the T20 World Cup in the press conference. Pakistan had to face defeat at the hands of India and Zimbabwe in the T20 World Cup. However, after this Pakistan made a spectacular comeback. He first defeated the Netherlands and then South Africa.

We could have won against India: Masood
A reporter asked Masood a question about the continuity of the Pakistan team. To this he said, ‘There is no such thing as continuity. The important moments of the match did not come in our favor in both the matches. If you see our match against India, we lost the match on the last ball. At one point India needed 28 runs off 8 balls. We were convinced that the result of the match would be in our favour. The way we had set the target, like we bowled, in those conditions. I think we could have won against India.

‘Made many mistakes against Zimbabwe’
Masood further said, ‘A lot of things went in India’s favor in the match. He had won the toss. When he was batting, the conditions were good. Overall we played that match well. Against Zimbabwe we made mistakes in different phases of the match. We didn’t bowl well in the powerplay. He scored 30-40 runs in the first 3 overs. We had also dropped his 7 wickets. But, in the end, he batted well and took the score to 130. We didn’t bat well in the powerplay. Even later we made a mistake. Because of this the match had to be lost. Had we understood the situation better, we would have won 4 out of 4 matches.
