New Delhi. Legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, who is called the ‘God’ of cricket, will honor the Indian team that won the ICC U-19 Women’s T20 World Cup. Master blaster Sachin Tendulkar will be seen cheering India’s Under-19 women’s cricket team at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Wednesday (January 1).

Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Secretary Jay Shah tweeted from his official Twitter handle, ‘It is with great pleasure that I share that Bharat Ratna Sachin Tendulkar and BCCI office bearers India’s winning Under-19 team Will honor them on February 1 at Narendra Modi Stadium at 6.30 pm. Young cricketers have made India proud and we will honor their achievements.

India’s Under-19 women’s team will leave for Ahmedabad on Wednesday
Shafali Verma-led Indian team won the maiden ICC Under-19 Women’s T20 World Cup title by defeating England by 7 wickets in the final at Potchefstroom, South Africa. This is India’s first ICC title in women’s cricket. The winning team will reach Mumbai from South Africa on Tuesday i.e. today and then go to Ahmedabad on Wednesday for the felicitation ceremony. The felicitation ceremony will be organized on the sidelines of the third and deciding T20 International match between the men’s teams of India and New Zealand.

BCCI opened the treasury
The BCCI had announced a cash prize of Rs 5 crore after the Indian team became the world champion. Board Secretary Jai Shah tweeted that I am very happy to announce the prize money for the team and support staff.
