New Delhi. Team India is close to making it to the semi-finals of the ICC T20 World Cup 2022. On Wednesday (November 2), the team secured their third win in four matches by defeating Bangladesh by 5 wickets in a rain-hit match in Adelaide. India currently top the table in Group 2 and will take on Zimbabwe in their final match of the Super 12 stage on Sunday (November 6). Virat Kohli’s impressive form has been the biggest reason behind India’s victory in the T20 World Cup so far.
Kohli’s six on the back foot against Haris Rauf in the match against Pakistan has been highly appreciated by fans and former cricketers across the world. During a discussion on the Sydney Morning Herald, former Australia captain Ian Chappell, while talking about Kohli’s shot, also recalled an interview he had with him a few years back. In this interview, Kohli had answered a question about not attempting ‘fancy shots’.

Ian Chappell recalled, “We did an interview with Virat Kohli a few years back. It was a great example of talking about the game. When we asked Virat why don’t you use some fancy shots? So he said – I do not want such shots to be included in my Test game. This is one of the amazing things about Virat Kohli. He scores all these runs at a very good rate, and he does it with normal cricketing shots.”
