Wriddhiman Saha is facing revolt against Bengal cricket, no team is ready to take it now!

Wicket-keeper batsman Wriddhiman Saha has suffered a major setback in his preparations to join any other team leaving Bengal cricket. Saha had recently claimed that he has received an offer from the team of Gujarat and Baroda, but Saha’s claim is being said to be completely baseless. Gujarat and Baroda were being seen as possible alternatives to Saha but both the states have denied any offer to the 40-Test player.

Saha had claimed that he had received offers from some state associations but did not agree to any. Anil Patel, senior official of the Gujarat Cricket Association (GCA), told PTI, “I can confirm that the Gujarat Cricket Association has not made any such offer to Wriddhiman Saha. We have a young wicketkeeper named Het Patel who is doing really well for us. Why would we want to ruin his career?

When contacted, Baroda Cricket Association (BCA) secretary Ajit Lele, who is currently in the US, said that he has no information about his association’s contact with Saha. Lele said, “I am not in India for the last one month but as far as BCA is concerned we have already roped in Ambati Rayudu as a professional. As far as I am aware, we have not spoken to Saha.

Recently PTI reported that Tripura had approached Saha but according to reports, his demand for professional fees apart from match fees cannot be considered. Tripura Cricket Association secretary Kishore Das could not be contacted. Saha had sought a no-objection certificate (NOC) from his home association Bengal Cricket Association (CAB) after the union’s joint secretary, Debbrata Das, publicly criticized him for his commitment to Bengal cricket and alleged that Ranji Trophy matches would be banned. He made excuses for fake injuries to stay out. An angry Saha was asked to ask Das unconditionally but it did not happen.

Das has been made the administrator of the Indian team for the current tour of England, which is proof that the CAB stands in support of its administrator. Indian coach Rahul Dravid had clearly told Saha that he was too old to be the reserve wicketkeeper of the national team at the age of 37, which angered the wicketkeeper-batsman on several occasions, saying that Indian Cricket Board President Sourav Ganguly Despite his assurances, he was dropped from the team.
