However, now Tata is once again preparing to launch the Sumo in the market with a new look, color and engine. This time Tata Sumo will knock in the Indian market as a grand SUV.
The new Tata Sumo is now going to compete directly with the Mahindra Scorpio and Innova Highcross. Although the company has not yet made any official announcement regarding this, but it is believed that Tata can showcase this car in the next Auto Expo.

Engine will be strong
According to sources, the car can be launched in diesel and petrol engines. Along with this, the talk of giving it a hybrid avatar is also coming to the fore. With the diesel engine, the car will generate power of 140 Bhp. At the same time, the company will try to keep its mileage only 20 plus. However, the company has not yet disclosed anything regarding the engine or design.
There will be a lot of features
All features like cruise control, ADAS, sunroof, Bluetooth connectivity, large screen music system, hands-free mobile phone reception, roof mounted AC, fog lamps, power steering, power windows will be seen in the new Tata Sumo. Along with this, the company will launch it in many variants.
what will be the price
As of now nothing has been revealed about the prices, but according to auto experts, looking at the competition in the market, the Sumo can be available between Rs. 10 lakh to Rs. 15 lakh.
