BSNL Employees Ultimatum : Union Telecom Minister Ashwini Vaishnav has warned 62,000 employees of state-run telecom company Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL). Minister Vaishnav said that they (BSNL employees) should work leaving the ‘government’ attitude. He said that such employees who are not performing as per the expectations will have to compulsorily be ready to retire and go home.

Minister Vaishnav has reportedly warned 62,000 BSNL employees that there should be no doubt in their mind about the warning issued. The minister had recently brought a package of Rs 1.64 lakh crore for the revival of BSNL, which has been approved by the central government.

He said that MTNL has ‘no future’. He said that the government cannot do much about MTNL. Minister Vaishnav said that everyone knows what are the obstacles of MTNL and what are the problems faced by it. According to Vaishnav, a separate plan will be made for that and based on that further steps will be taken.

The Union Minister has reprimanded the officials for the mess in the BSNL Offices. Giving the example of the filth in the BSNL office in Jharsuguda, he said that seeing it, one should feel like drowning in full water. He said that the office was very dirty. The Union Minister said that if all this does not go well, then the top leadership of BSNL will be abolished.
