New Delhi. German auto manufacturing company BMW has launched its premium category cruiser bike R18 Transcontinental in India. Although there are many special things about this motorcycle, but its biggest thing is that 5 Alto cars can be bought for the price of this one motorcycle. The company has kept its initial price of Rs. 31.5 lakh ex-showroom, which on road sits more than Rs. 35 lakh. Now a total of three motorcycles of BMW have become of the cruiser segment. These include the BMW R18, R18 Classic and the R 18 Transcontinental.
The motorcycle has been specially designed for touring. Talking about its design, along with windshield, wind deflector, broad pillion seat, storage case, light alloy cast wheel and handlebar mounted fairing bring it in stand alone category. Not one or two but four analog instruments have been given in the car. Along with this, a large color TFT display of 10.25 inches has been given.

The motorcycle has many features like navigation, ride analogue, rider details, voice commands, Apple and Android Car Play, heated grips, heated seats, infotainment system which can make your ride awesome and fun.

The motorcycle has so much power that even a Scorpio will pale in front of it. The company has given 1802 cc boxer engine in the bike. This engine is oil and liquid cooled. Which generates 91 horsepower and reaches peak torque of 158 Nm. The bike has been given a 6 speed constant mesh gear box. Due to the big and heavy design of the motorcycle, it has also been given a reverse gear. Along with this, three driving modes Rain, Roll and Rock have also been given according to different driving conditions. The motorcycle weighs 427 kg with a full tank of fuel. It has a fuel tank of 24 litres.

The top speed of the motorcycle is 185 km. per hour. At present, no information has been given about whether it will be governed in India or not. The motorcycle has been launched in 5 color options.
