DA Hike: Diwali gift to the government employees of this state, dearness allowance increased and bonus gift

DA Hike: In late September, the central government had announced an increase in dearness allowance for government employees. It was increased by 4 per cent to 38 per cent from 34 per cent. Since then some other states are also announcing an increase in dearness allowance for their employees. Now last night, the people of Uttar Pradesh have also been given a gift by the government here by increasing dearness allowance before Diwali.

Dearness Allowance increased in UP
The Uttar Pradesh government, giving a Diwali gift to the state employees and pensioners, has announced an increase of four percent in the rate of dearness allowance and dearness relief from July 1. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath gave this information by tweeting on Monday night, in which he said that the Uttar Pradesh government has increased the current rate of dearness allowance and dearness relief of state employees and pensioners / family pensioners from 34% to 38% from July 1, 2022.

Making another important announcement in the same tweet, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said, ‘It has been decided to give a bonus of Rs 6,908 to each employee for the financial year 2021-22.’

Before Uttar Pradesh, these states have announced to increase dearness allowance
On October 14, in the Chhattisgarh government, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel had announced to increase the dearness allowance of the state employees and increased it by 5 percent to 33 percent.
About 3.80 lakh employees are expected to benefit from this.

Earlier in the beginning of October, the Delhi government had also announced to increase the dearness allowance by 4 percent for its employees.

The Jharkhand government had on October 10 increased the dearness allowance by 4 per cent for its employees and directed it to be implemented from July 1, 2022.

The government of Rajasthan had also increased the dearness allowance for its employees and brought it from 34 per cent to 38 per cent.

The central government had increased the dearness allowance and since then the people of the state also expected that the present UP government led by Yogi Adityanath can also take such a decision regarding government employees. The central government had also announced an increase in dearness allowance by four percent to 38 percent, which is effective from July.
