Electric Scooter: In India, the sale of electric scooters has increased rapidly in the last few years. Along with the old companies, many new companies have also entered this segment. Ola Electric is currently the largest company selling electric two-wheelers. However, Ola’s electric scooters are a bit expensive. Meanwhile, the demand for another new electric scooter company is increasing. The name of this company is Ampere Electric.
According to vehicle portal data, Greaves Electric Mobility Pvt Ltd has sold more than one lakh electric two-wheelers under its brand Ampere in FY23. This sale is 3 times more than the financial year 2021-22. The company aims to further this growth with its portfolio of Ampere electric scooters like Zeal, Magnus and Primus. To achieve this target, the company is going to increase its dealership network in many cities of the country.

Giving scooters to players in IPL
The company has joined hands with Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) as the official EV partner for the ongoing IPL T20 season. Under this partnership, the company is giving a limited edition RCB themed Primus scooter to the “Electric RCB Player” in every match to be held in Bengaluru. The Ampere Primus RCB Edition will be made in limited numbers and its pricing is yet to be announced. The Ampere Primus RCB Edition will be available for pre-booking for Rs 499.

Range, Speed and Features
The Ampere Primus RCB Edition comes with a 3.4 kW PMS electric motor and can clock a top speed of 77 kmph. The scooter can reach 0 to 40 kmph in just 4.2 seconds. The scooter comes with LFP battery pack, which has a life of over 1 lakh kms. The battery gives a range of 107 km on a single charge and can be fully charged in five hours. Other features also include three riding modes, combi braking and 22 liters of storage capacity.
