The great industrialist, aviator, and one of India’s most successful entrepreneurs, JRD Tata owned a German, Mercedes-Benz 190d, which he imported back in the 1960s. The 190D was ahead of its time, with features such as a double-focal outside rear view mirror. Equipped with a powerful 1.8-litre four-cylinder petrol engine, the 190D could reach a top speed of 120 kmph, which was phenomenal for the time.

Ratan Tata
Ratan Tata used to display his exotic cars at Marine Drive in Mumbai, he also has a rare 1978 Buick Skylark as part of his prized collection of cars. After importing it to India, the vehicle remained one of its kind on Indian roads for years. Equipped with a 5.0-litre V8 petrol engine that produces a maximum power of 145 Bhp, the car continues to be in running condition till date and is frequently displayed at various car shows across India.

Yohan Poonawalla, one of India’s most successful businessmen and chairman of the Poonawalla Engineering Group, owns several classic cars including these two Rolls-Royces. This also includes the Silver Cloud 2 model which is quite rare. Only 258 of its cars were ever built.
