Hero Xoom 110: Hero launches new scooter, tough challenge to Activa, because the price is low!

Hero Xoom 110: Hero MotoCorp has launched the Zoom 110 scooter on Monday. Its starting price is Rs 68,599, which goes up to Rs 76,699 (ex-showroom). The scooter is available in three different variants LX, VX and ZX. Compared to Hero Maestro, it has been launched with completely new design and features, which make it a very premium scooter.

The all new 110 cc scooter will take on the very popular scooters like TVS Jupiter and Honda Activa Smart in the Indian two wheeler market. The special thing is that the zoom has been kept affordable compared to both the scooters. The zoom has been kept in a sharp and sculpted design. It comes with all-LED headlamps and X-shaped LED daytime running lights.

Awesome features
Talking about the features of Hero Zoom, it includes many great features including fully digital instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity, 12-inch alloy wheels. The fully digital display can be connected to a smartphone using Bluetooth and shows a host of information.

The top-end variant ZS gets cornering bending lights. The advantage of this is that when the rider tries to turn the scooter, the cornering lights get activated automatically. The front apron of the scooter is angular and the cowling on the handlebars houses the turn indicators. The taillight of the scooter has also been placed in the X pattern. For braking, disc brakes are available in the front in the top variant.

Will give competition to Honda Activa
Talking about the engine of Hero Zoom scooter, it has a 110.9 cc single-cylinder air-cooled Fi engine, which is paired with CVT. This engine produces peak power of 8.04 Bhp and peak torque of 8.7 Nm. The Indian scooter market is the largest contributor to the total scooter sales in the country with a share of around 60 percent in the 110 cc segment. Honda leads the segment with its Activa.
