New Delhi. After Ferrari and Maserati, now McLaren has also launched its Plugin Hybrid supercar in India. The specialty of this supercar called McLaren Artura is its low weight and speed. Crafted in a very sleek design, this car will be seen biting the dust of many popular supercars. In Artura, the company has combined the V6 petrol engine as well as the electric motor.
The company claims that the car will reach a speed of 100 kilometers in just 3 seconds. At the same time, its top speed will go up to 330 kilometers per hour. Significantly, Artura is the third hybrid car from McLaren. Let us know the specialty of this car…

Powerful yet economical engine
The company has given a powerful 3.0 liter twin turbo V6 engine in Artura. This engine generates power of 585 hp. This is combined with a rear mounted electric motor which adds another 95 Bhp to its power. By combining the power of the electric motor and the engine, this super car generates 680 horse power. Despite this, however, the car will be quite economical as compared to other supercars. The car is rear wheel drive and has an 8 speed automatic gearbox.
four driving modes
The car has a 7.4 kWh battery pack which can be charged up to 80 percent in 2.5 hours. The car gives a range of 31 kms on electric mode. Four drive modes have also been given in the car. These include E mode Comfort, Sports and Track.
Talking about the weight of the car, its curb weight is around 1,498 kg, while its drivetrain is 1,395 kg. When launched in India, it will directly compete with the Ferrari 296 GTB and the Maserati MC20. Both these cars are also plain hybrids. Talking about the price of Artura, the company has launched it at Rs 5.1 crore ex-showroom.
