Jio’s strong setback after 5G launch, this popular 4G plan was closed, know the reason behind it

New Delhi. Reliance Jio has launched 5G service in the country. Reliance Jio has discontinued its popular 4G plan after the 5G launch. Reliance Jio has removed all but its two bundled streaming plans that come with Disney + Hotstar mobile subscription. Jio has left out only two of the many bundled Disney+ Hotstar plans offered to its users across multiple price segments.

This was first spotted by TelecomTalk and the plans that have been removed so far include Rs 499 plan, Rs 601 plan, Rs 799 plan, Rs 1,099 plan, Rs 333 plan, Rs 419 plan, Rs 583 plan, Rs 783 plan and Rs 1,199 plan are included. All these are no longer available to recharge on the platform. However, users who have already recharged with one of these plans will be able to continue using it till the validity is over.

At present, the Rs 1,499 plan and Rs 4,199 plan are still available. Disney + Hotstar membership will be bundled in these plans. But it is not clear whether these plans will also last for a long time. Both these plans offer a bundled Disney+ Hotstar Premium subscription, not a mobile subscription that limits users to 720p resolution and only one mobile device.

Reliance Jio’s Rs 1,499 plan: In the Rs 1,499 plan of Reliance Jio, 2GB data is given daily. Talking about the validity, the validity of 84 days is given in this plan. Talking about voice calling, unlimited voice calling is given in this plan. Talking about SMS, 100 SMS facility is available in this plan daily. Talking about other benefits, Disney + Hotstar Premium subscription is available in this plan.

Reliance Jio’s Rs 4,199 plan: In the Rs 4,199 plan of Reliance Jio, 3GB data is given daily. Talking about the validity, 365 days validity is given in this plan. Talking about voice calling, unlimited voice calling is available in this plan. In the case of SMS, 100 SMS are given per day in this plan. In terms of other benefits, Disney + Hotstar Premium subscription is given in this plan.

Why Disney+ Hotstar bundle plans discontinued?
While the company hasn’t officially revealed the reason for dropping support for these bundled plans, it seems that Disney+ Hotstar may no longer have the rights to stream the next IPL season, the rights of which have now been acquired by Viacom18. Huh. Viacom18 is now part of Reliance Industries Limited through TV18.

Disney+ Hotstar will still be streaming the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup. It seems that those looking to buy a new recharge plan with the bundled Disney+ Hotstar benefits will now just have to choose between two Jio plans that offer these benefits.
