New Delhi. Automobile company Maruti Suzuki has again made a big record. This time the company has made a record of exporting 25 lakh units. The company said in its statement that the company, which has been exporting vehicles since the 80s, has crossed the figure of 2.5 million units. This is an achievement in itself and in the times to come, the company will continue to work towards providing better technology vehicles to the people.

The company started exports in 1986-87 to neighboring markets like Bangladesh and Nepal. Currently, it exports vehicles to around 100 countries including Africa, Latin America, Asia and West Asia.

Record made from Bellino itself
Maruti Suzuki said in a statement that its 25 lakhth vehicle exported is the Maruti Suzuki Baleno which was sent to Latin America from Mudra port in Gujarat. Hisashi Takeuchi, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Maruti Suzuki India said, “The export of the 25 lakhth vehicle is a hallmark of India’s manufacturing capability. This achievement shows the commitment of Maruti Suzuki towards the ambitious Make in India initiative of the Government of India. Takeuchi said that today Maruti Suzuki is India’s largest exporter of passenger vehicles.

Now focus on electric vehicle
At the same time, the entire focus of Maruti Suzuki is on electric vehicle manufacturing. Soon the company’s new EV line up will be seen. Currently, the company offers cars with hybrid and petrol engines. In the coming time, the company will soon launch the electric variant of Brezza. During the Auto Expo, the company also showcased its concept electric vehicle.
