New Delhi. The country’s largest carmaker Maruti Suzuki introduced the Futuro-e concept at the Auto Expo 2020. The company will present its production version at the 2023 Auto Expo. This production version will be based on the Baleno hatchback. This car could be Maruti’s biggest launch of 2023.
Engine and performance
The company can launch the YTB crossover in the market with two powertrains. This includes a turbocharged petrol engine and a petrol engine. If reports are to be believed, the company may return the 1.0-litre turbocharged Boosterjet petrol engine and it could be used in the YTB crossover. This engine was first introduced in India in 2017. Another engine that can be used in this car is the 1.2L DualJet petrol engine. It is possible that the company may also use a 1.5 liter NA petrol engine in this car. This engine is currently used in the Brezza and XL6.

Spy shots of this new upcoming Maruti car in India suggest that it will be based on the brand’s new SUV design language. It will get a large grille at the front that will be paired with bumper-mounted LED headlights and top-mounted DRLs. The crossover-coupe silhouette is clearly visible. Maruti is expected to offer this car with dual-cut alloy wheels and prominent body cladding.

These features will be in the interior
On the interiors of the car, the YTB is likely to be offered with a fresh dashboard layout and an extensive feature list. Which includes features like a large sunroof, wireless mobile charging pad, a large touchscreen infotainment system and an automated climate control.
Other features such as HUD, digital instrument cluster, push-button start, connected car tech, automatic wipers and headlamps, cooled glovebox, rear AC vents, etc. are also expected. The YTB will be the first cross-hatchback in the brand’s portfolio and will take on rivals such as the Citroen C3, Nissan Magnite and Renault Kiger.
