Mukesh Ambani Latest News: Mukesh Ambani, chairman of Reliance Industries, has not taken any other salary continuously. According to the annual report of Reliance Industries, in the financial year 2021-22, Mukesh Ambani has decided not to take any salary due to the effects of Corona on business and economy. Earlier in the 2020-21 financial year also, he had refused to take salary from the company.
Salary not taken for two consecutive years
After the corona epidemic knocked in 2020, Mukesh Ambani decided in June 2020 that he would not take any salary in the 2020-21 financial year due to the ill effects of the epidemic. And now information has come to the fore that even in the second consecutive year 2021-22, he has not taken any salary. Apart from salary, Mukesh Ambani, while holding the post of chairman of Reliance Industries, has neither taken allowance nor has taken any retirement benefit, commission or stock option in the last two years.
Salary only Rs 15 crore for 11 years
Let us tell you that since 2008-09, Mukesh Ambani has fixed his salary at Rs 15 crore. There has been no increase in his salary in the last 11 years till 2019-20. And in the subsequent two years, he has not taken any salary. In June 2020, the company had issued a statement saying that the impact of the Kovid epidemic knocking in the country has had an impact on social, economic and industrial health. Due to which the company’s chairman Mukesh Ambani has decided not to take any salary at the voluntary level. Although Mukesh Ambani’s wife Nita Ambani is a non-executive director on the company’s board, she used to get Rs 5 lakh as seating fee and Rs 2 crore as commission. Last year, he got a seating fee of Rs 8 lakh and a commission of Rs 1.65 crore.
